The AI Written RFP: the requirements stated before the vendor (Discussion)

The contribution

Prepared by the Broadcastwell team

We have published The AI Written RFP. Across fourteen software categories, the study identifies 2,003 category criteria from 2,093 eligible answers, with 10,547 supporting answer spans, 2,417 explicit vendor association passages and 10,015 dated comparisons across seventy mapped vendor pages.

We examine requirements stated before the first vendor in answers from ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode.

Answers captured under method v1.1 on 22 to 23 Sep 2026 for the Absence Index release 2026-09 (DOI 10.5281/zenodo.22907695).

The complete report shows frequent criteria by category, with counts, category bases, Wilson 95 percent intervals and repeated run evidence. The accompanying tables retain every criterion and its source references.

Team review: in progress. Zero criteria are analyst verified. A requirement not stated on a dated page is not evidence that the product lacks it. Partial or unsuitable scope remains unknown. The study describes the captured answers and dated pages; it does not rank product quality or predict a buyer's decision.

Which requirement in your category needs a closer reading of its source evidence? Link the criterion and dated page so the discussion can stay tied to the record.
